Abstract Submission
Abstracts can be submitted for:
- Poster Presentation (for Poster Exhibition on all congress days; Guided Poster Tour for majority of posters)
- Oral presentation* / Guided poster tour (Note: Presenting author must be a trainee/resident AND must be the first author of the abstract.)
- Video Case for Grand Parade of Movement Disorders (15 May 2023)
Abstract Submission Preparation and Guidelines
Title
Maximum is 20 words typed in lower-case letters. Please be careful that errors may occur if you copy and paste the title into the field from another document. Choose a title that clearly indicates the content of the contribution.
Number of submitted abstracts
Each presenting author is allowed to be allocated to max. 2 abstracts.
Abstract Topic
For the submission of your abstract, one single topic has to be selected to index the abstract. The chosen topic will be the category in which your abstract will be reviewed and graded. You should therefore select it carefully. These are the abstract categories:
- Basic Neuroscience (excluding Genetics)
- Imaging and Biomarkers
- Neurosurgery (including Deep Brain Stimulation)
- Behavior, Cognition, Psychiatry
- Parkinson Disease: Genetics
- Parkinson Disease: Subtypes, natural course
- Parkinson Disease: Clinical assessment (including devices)
- Parkinson Disease: Therapy (excluding surgical, physical)
- Parkinson Disease: Other topics
- Other Parkinsonian Disorders
- Dystonia
- Chorea, Athetosis, Ballism, Tics
- Ataxias, hereditary spastic paraparesis
- Tremors, Myoclonus
- Gait Disturbances and Other Movement Disorders
- Rehabilitation, Nursing/Physiotherapy, Other Allied Health; Patient Participation
Abstract Content
All abstracts have to be submitted and must be presented in English, the official language of the IAPRD Congress.
The maximum word limit is 300 words. Abstracts have to be structured in the following specified subtitles:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Along with encore abstracts and those that are in press or submitted in papers, IAPRD will also be accepting Trials in Progress abstracts for the congress.
Plagiarism Check
By submitting their work, all authors agree to any necessary plagiarism checks of the abstract prior to publication.
Abstract Grading / Results
All abstracts will be reviewed and will be graded by members of the Abstract Review Committee of the IAPRD Congress 2023.
All submitters will be notified by e-mail in March 2023 about the outcome (accepted or not accepted) of the review and selection process. Please ensure the e-mail address provided is correct as all correspondences will be sent via e-mail.
All expenses (travel costs, accommodation, registration, etc.) associated with the submission and presentation of an abstract are under the responsibility of the presenter.
