The abstract submission deadline is Wednesday, 1 April 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. All submitters will be notified by e-mail by Monday, 1 June 2026 regarding their acceptance.

Submission Checklist

Abstracts must be submitted in English.

The word count of the abstract is listed below:

  • Abstract Title: 20 words
  • Abstract Body: 300 words
  • Up to 4 optional images: Tables should be converted to images.

Encore Abstracts

Abstracts previously presented at other meetings or published as a full article in one of the IAPRD journals (Parkinsonism and Related Disorders or Clinical Parkinsonism and Related Disorders) will be considered Encore Abstracts and allowed for submission. However, all abstracts, Encore or Original, need to undergo the peer review process.

Plagiarism Checks

Abstract authors confirm that their abstract is the original work of the authors. By submitting their work, all authors agree to any necessary plagiarism checks of the abstract prior to publication.

Application for Travel Grants

The awards are aimed at promoting participation in the congress by young researchers worldwide, under the age of 35.

The deadline for travel grant applications is Wednesday, 1 April 2026.

Two levels of travel grants are available:

  • Awards for young participants from high-income countries: up to USD 500 and registration fees
  • Awards for young participants from low-income and medium-income countries: up to USD 1,250 and registration fees.

Requirements:

  • The applicant needs to be under the age of 35 years at the opening date of the congress (11 November 2026) and needs to be a student, resident or trainee.
  • The applicant is the presenting author.
  • The Travel Grant is to be considered as financial support for travel costs only and cannot be paid out in cash.

How to apply:

  • Applications can only be made during the online abstract submission process.
  • The name of the presenting author must be exactly the same as the name of the applicant.
  • During the abstract submission upload the proof of eligibility: Your ID Card or passport and a proof of trainee status.
