DBS Hands-on Training: Harnessing the Power of Remote Programming
Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is a highly effective treatment for neurological disorders, and precise programming is essential to achieving optimal outcomes. In this symposium, we will explore the latest advances in remote programming technology for DBS, including newly available data highlighting the benefits of NeuroSphere™ Virtual Clinic. We will also provide hands-on training for DBS programming devices, covering device buttonology, troubleshooting, and post-implant optimization. Attendees will have the opportunity to work with programming iPads, ask questions, and receive personalized feedback from experienced DBS programmers. By the end of the symposium, participants will have a deep understanding of how to better implement the NeuroSphere™ Virtual Clinic technology to optimize DBS programming and improve patient outcomes.
Understanding Adult Chronic Sialorrhea: the impact on patients & using ultrasound guidance with Incobotulinumtoxin-A injection treatment
This will be a 90-minute presentation exploring the underdiagnosed condition of adult chronic sialorrhea, the impact to the patient/caregiver and how ultrasound guided treatment with incobotulinumtoxinA injections can help improve patient outcomes. Hosted by Merz Therapeutics. Lunch will be provided.
Challenges in Recognizing the Hidden Burden of Advancing PD and what can be done
This is a 60 minute presentation examining the impact of Parkinson’s disease on patients and care partners in their daily lives and understanding how to identify and assess patients with advancing disease in your clinical practice. A general overview of treatment strategies will be provided as well as an evidence-based, validated tool to help you determine if your patients are inadequately controlled and should be evaluated for device-aided therapies.
